Back to Portland. Enough said. :(
This is going be a bit choppy but here’s the update of what’s going on.
I'm back in the cold, green city of Portland again where it’s raining 70 percent of the year. Woohoo! Yeah, right. I’m here cheffin’ it up for a few weeks to help my aunt and hang out with family. That’ll be some fun but I’m definitely not looking forward to working 60 hours a week again but I guess it’s a way for me to save some dinero for Vegas round two with the NomNomNompton boys in January. Vegas better watch out because we are gonna take over that city. Six of he Nompton boys pitched in some scrilla to buy DrewJones a flight out to Vegas with us. I wish I could have taken a snap shot of his face when he saw the itinerary e-mail. He looked like an overly happy 8 year-old boy who just got a toy spaceship for Christmas or something. Surprise was a success. Happy belated birthday, Merry Christmas and Happy Early (2011) Birthday, Drewski.
Round one of Vegas happened in September when Lez and I went for our friend's bachelor party. Crazy weekend for sure. Lez and I missed our flight twice.. We missed the first flight because we were stuck at the Sapphire strip club. Lez couldn't stop getting lap dances. So, we booked another room at the cheapest hotel we could find... The Imperial Palace.. Shit, this place was full of noodles. We get ready, went to have drinks, and then off to the casino next door to gamble a little. I was at the Roulette table while Lez was at the 3 card poker table and we begin to get hammered because the cocktail waitress kept bringing us cheapass vodka shots. Lez decided to go take a nap at 1 am because he was drunk. I told him I'd wake him up to go to the strip club again in an hour. Well, 5am rolls around, my alarm clock goes off for our 6am standby but I am still at the table playing Roulette and at this point I can't even function. I cash out and go back to the room to wake Lez and try to head to the airport.. I walk in, both beds are empty, the lights are off, and his shoes are on the floor.. Hmm.. maybe he hooked up with a girl.. I go to take a piss, turn on the light and there he was passed out on the floor underneath the sink. I try to wake him but he is too drunk and says to just miss the flight again and so that's what we did... We then got a late check-out the next day and headed to get some crawfish. We ate about $100 worth but that soon becomes a waste. Thirty minutes after eating we go to a nice hotel casino, walk around for about 5 minutes, find a restroom, get into stalls side-by-side and start puking our guts out.. 100 bucks down the toilette. Lesson learned.. Don't eat spicy, garlic crawfish when you're hungover... That was pretty much the end of our Vegas trip and we made it to our flight on time after paying $500 for the airfare.
Anyway, I was supposed to be back in Portland on October 20th but changed my flight because I wanted to spend some epic time with the boys and all my friends in Norman for Halloween. I’m glad I made that decision. One of the best parties we’ve had at our place, minus our asshole neighbors who called the cops on us again.
Although I’m back in Portland, I didn’t even have to come here. I received a text from my aunt one Saturday afternoon telling me this: “Okay- I get the feeling you feel obligated to Oregon but your heart and home is w/ your Nom Nom bros. It’s okay if you don’t want to move here. No obligation. We’ll be okay. I appreciate your help this summer—so don’t feel obligated.” Exact words. What a great and sincere aunt I have. I didn’t know what to say. I was speechless but I told her I’d still fly out to help her and spend time with family. It’s only been a day and some change but I already miss home. You’ll spend your life looking for happiness and you might not even fully find it but you’ll know what makes you happy. For me, it’s being with my friends. For some, that may be stupid but I say whatever.
hmm. This always seems to happen to me. I meet a girl that I begin to really like and things start to go well, then I end up leaving for a long period of time. Why is this? I don’t know. I hope things are the same when I get back, but I guess it’s a day-to-day thing. I’ll keep you updated on how things go. I have high hopes for this and think things will be fine. That’s that. Off to the next subject.
We’ve added a new addition to the NomNomNompton headquarters. Her name is Bella and she is the cutest French Bulldog pup I have ever seen. She’s a “cuddle whore” according to some but no one would want to push this precious thing away.
Well, Nompton, I’ll see you soon. We promise to do our best with posting a new video. It’ll happen soon. I know it’s been awhile and we’ve promised before but enjoy the photo dump for now.
Signing out…
